Piergiorgio Vitello graduated in 2018 in Computer Sciences at the Politecnico di Torino. He spent a period as student assistant at UniLu during his MSc thesis research under the supervision of Andrea Capponi and Claudio Fiandrino, within the team of Ulrich Sorger. His research leveraged crowd sensing data for mobility analysis and in particular to study the accessibility and popularity of activities. He joined the MobiLab team in January 2019 to work within the DRIVEN FNR-PRIDE Doctoral Training Unit. His research is on leveraging crowdsourcing data and use of advanced statistical and machine learning approaches to improve the understanding of daily urban mobility.
